Amazing to see how you made Sophie come to life, all that colour seems to reflect her nature, beautifully done. I do the same with pieces, leave them where I see them from various angles and keep picking away until I can't see or think of anything more that needs to be done :-)

This is amazing. I have been wanting to do the exact same thing, and I still have my (broken) Pentax K1000 from high school. I was recently thinking about getting a dSLR and wondering what kind to wish for. Question answered! Thanks for your post, and I look forward to more of your photos! :)

Looks like you got yourself a great camera. my daughter and two younger sisters and the camera pros so I depend on them to keep me stocked in photos, I just don't have the gift of getting those great shots. Love the ones you took from the winery, looking forward to seeing what you decide to paint.
