Orange and Teal

I love these colors together. As soon as I saw this scene I knew I'd have to paint it!

Indie

I had the privilege of painting this beautiful Golden Retriever in a cross between the pop-art and contemporary styles for a wonderful client out in Texas. Goldens have the greatest smiles, I couldn't help but to be happy while I was painting him.

Great Gift for the Holidays!

OK, I can hear you saying it "COME ON...Summer isn't even over and you're talking about the holiday season already!? You're crazy!" Here's the thing, while I may be a little crazy here and there, I'm actually not on this one.

I looked at the calendar and just about died! How do I figure? 2 weeks for holiday shipping + 4-6 weeks for drying time (most portraits are painted in oils and they take a long time to dry) + time to work on the painting (they each require several steps with drying time in between) and WOW! Here we are!

If you’ve been thinking about ordering a special gift this year contact me before September 10th and save 10% on a custom portrait!

Sligo, Ireland

This is by far the largest painting I have ever done and it took me over a year to complete. This one sat in the corner and laughed at me for at least half that that year. Other things in life took over for while and I just didn't have the time to commit to such a daunting task. I'm glad to say that it has now joined the ranks of the signed and completed!

Sparky

It was an honor to be asked to paint a portrait of this sweet puppy. Most of the requests I get are for contemporary portraits. I love painting the contemporary portraits but it was fun to paint a traditional portrait again.

Lucas Lucas Lucas

I have truly been blessed to have met a lovely family who has a tremendous love for their dogs. This is the third portrait I have done for them and as always, it has been such a pleasure! Meet Lucas Lucas Lucas, their first family pet. It is clear that he made a lasting impression on their hearts.

Ecuador

I love Bill Guffey's Virtual Paintout art challenge. This is the first one I've done in a while. This month was a "walk" around Ecuador via Google Map's street view. I painted the scene on a canvas panel, not my favorite painting surface as I don't generally love the rough texture. but I had a lot of fun painting this location I found with the little homes, chickens, etc.
