I'm not loving the background in this, my original thought was that the wall angle would add some interest but I decided to axe that and go for a simpler background.
That seems like a good decision. Since the portrait is so non-traditional, maybe a calmer background would really put her in the limelight. She is wonderful!
I like the angle, though if you keep it, maybe make the background colours closer in value, so they contrast less. This is a fantasic portrait though - very dynamic. You have really captured her smile.

ReplyDeleteI love the happy little portrait but you're right, the background is a little distracting because my eyes want to follow the angle.
